The Blue Rooster

Filed under: Uncategorized — Neil @ 10:00 am

What’s the Blue Rooster? The best burger place you haven’t tried in the Jackson area.

The menu contains some good burgers, but I prefer to build my own.  Make sure to include the hollerback sauce.  Eat JXN wrote a nice article on it w/ some good info.

Krave Conference

Filed under: Youth Ministry — Neil @ 11:56 pm

The weekend of January 14-15 our Student Ministry hosts Krave Conference.  It’s the 3rd year for the event & 2nd year that we’ve partnered w/ other churches for it.  If I’m not blogging much over the next week (& it’s why I haven’t been around these past few days) it’s due to the preparation for Krave.

If you are a youth leader & would like to bring your group to Krave it’s not too late to register.  If you’d like to talk to me about the event contact me at neil @ neiltullos . com.

Bible Reading Plan

Filed under: Uncategorized — Neil @ 8:00 am

If you are like me you know that you need to read your Bible.  Not out of guilt (although there’s some of that mixed in as well), but because of the difference it makes in your life.  I need some accountability to help me do that.  YouVersion helps to provide the accountability I need each day.

There’s a variety of plans to choose from.  You can read the entire Bible in 90 days, to reading it over a year, reading a book a month, or devotional readings for each day.  You can have delivered as an email, through your RSS reader, or just read it online or through a mobile phone app.

It’s what I’ll be using again this year (I’m using the chronological plan this year)to help me stay in God’s Word throughout 2011.
