WIRED Summer Camp Reflections

  • Student Ministry is as much about adults as it is teenagers.
  • We had an amazing group of 55 adults who served incredibly this week.
  • Thankful for interns who work non-stop for very little $.  I remember those days…
  • Really blessed to be a part of the staff that planned WIRED.
  • Thankful for a education minister & a pastor who served on our food team this week.
  • Stuart Hall was phenomenal.  I’ve never had a “name” speaker be so easy to work w/ & really minister to our teens.  He sent us all of the small group material that went alone w/ the messages 2 weeks! before we’d asked for them.
  • If you are in youth ministry or a parent & have not read Max Q by Stuart Hall & Andy Stanley you need to purchase it.  His morning messages were principles straight out of the book.
  • 190 teens & not 1 complaint by the security or anyone associated w/ the condos!
  • We saw God move in the hearts & minds of teenagers as they were challenged to live out their faith.

For more about went on at camp check out our student ministry’s facebook & twitter accounts.

Camp is a blast, but I’m really glad to be home.  We’ve got 1 week “off” before we take some of our leadership students to Super Summer.
