Krave Review

Filed under: Youth Ministry — Neil @ 1:10 pm

This weekend our fbcj student ministry hosted Krave.  It was a weekend full of worship services (7) & ministry.  Here’s my review:

  • I wish I had a photographic memory.  My mind is having a tough time learning 200+ teens & all the parents/youth workers.
  • Stories connect w/ teens.  B.B. is a great storyteller & it spoke to our teens.
  • Serving others is powerful.  The turning point of the weekend was the 2 hours we spent serving on Saturday afternoon.
  • Facebook is great for connecting people.
  • It was weird not knowing the basic stuff (where are the restrooms, a/c controls, etc.).
  • Starting off w/ a big event is a good thing.  I did it @ Parkway w/ summer camp & now Krave @ fbcj.
  • Working w/ Mike is going to be a lot of fun.  He’s great at selling the vision God has given him for this ministry.
  • This weekend gave Mike & I a glimpse of what ministry will be like.  We’d set a goal (we thought a really high goal) for next year’s DNow, I told him today that we aimed too low.
