Day 1 Goals

Filed under: Youth Ministry — Neil @ 6:26 am

Today, I begin working at FBCJ.  My goals for today are:

  1. Find my office.  I’ve been to it once a few weeks ago, but have no clue as to how to make my way back to it.
  2. Locate the restroom (a bonus would be to find the secret bathroom).
  3. Find the boxes that I delivered last week to be sitting in my office (I hope that guy who unloaded them really worked for the church).
  4. Unload my boxes & have my shelves/desk semi organized – I don’t think I’ll be able to work until my office looks like an office.
  5. Find a list of all the teenagers at FBCJ.
    1. Pray for them.
    2. Message them in some way.
  6. Not to make a fool of myself when I speak to the group during the youth worship service.

  1. I can relate to moving to a large place. My first day at my school, all I wanted to do was be able to find my room, locate the cafeteria and all the classes the kids had to go to. Luckily the kids helped me out. Don’t worry, you will eventually find that “secret bathroon” everyone always does!

  3. I started at FBC Jackson on April 1 as the associate student pastor.

I’ve been twittering inconsistently for a few months. It has been a good tool to follow some friends & some folks I want to learn from in ministry.
