Blog Fast (well almost)

Filed under: Personal — Neil @ 10:24 pm

I really do enjoy the summer. Its hectic & busy, but still enjoyable. The school year is a routine (I basically do the same things @ the same time each & every week), the summer is more of a blur. Here’s a sample my next few weeks:

  • May 22 – Super Hero Day
  • May 23 – May 26 – Sr. Trip to Gulf Shores
  • May 28 – Jr. High H20
  • May 30 – June 7 – Mission Trip
  • June 8 – Preach in morning & evening worship services
  • June 9- Sr. High H20
  • June 9 -13 – Lead Recreation for VBS
  • June 11 – Jr. High H20
  • June 13-16 Student Life Camp

So, I need to cut out something (more honestly several things) from my daily routine. The first thing to get cut is my blogroll. I’ll be unsubscribing for the summer from all of the blogs I follow except for these:

  • Seth Godin – reading his blog gives me ideas & points out some of my bad ideas
  • Tim Steevens – good mix of church stuff, leadership & culture
  • Swerve – I want to keep up w/ One Prayer
  • Tony Morgan – always curious about what is going on at NewSpring & I continually learn from him

I’ve been keeping up w/ 54 blogs thanks to Google Reader, but now I’m down to 4.

  1. Neil,

I laughed aloud when I saw that the Ford Retort was not on your list. Let’s not kid ourselves now…

  2. Michael, of the 54 blogs I was following yours was the 1st to be cut. Sorry. In fact my daily reading of past deacon’s meetings minutes was much more likely to survive the cut than your blog.

  3. Neil,

Let’s at least keep all personal attacks above the belt.
