Upside Down World
Leaders Aren’t Perfect
Text: Acts 15:36-41; Hebrews 13:7,17

Out problem is that we do not know what a leader is. We’ve accepted
the world’s definition of a leader.

Jesus’ definition of leadership: Mark 10:32-45.
The longer you are a member of a church the more we think that we are
to be served.
If you want to lead serve.

I’ve served my time is one of the most dangerous things that is said
in the church today.
Your kids being grown doesn’t = time to quit serving.
Hebrews 13:7,13
1. Remember
What do they remeber about Paul – chains?
– Jesus – Philippians 1:13
– Conversion – Acts 16
2. Follow or mimic
Colossians 2:23
3. Obey or trust
– be pursuaded by
– not blind obedience
Why do this?
1. They watch out for your soul.  A congregations happiness isn’t the
pastors responsibility.   Holiness not happiness is a pastors
2. Give an account.
3. Make it enjoyable. . Joy is the people’s responsibility not the

Ken on church music in his teenage years:
