Jr. High Service

  • Crowd: Below Average
  • Game: Above Average (that ain’t saying a lot because most of the games have stunk)
  • Music: Above Average
  • Teaching: Above Average (but verrrrry long – way tooooo long)

Sr. High Service

  • Crowd: Average
  • Music: Above Average
  • Teaching: Above Average (but again much longer than normal)

I though overall this was the best night of youth worship services in quite a while. I think it had to do w/ several factors: ‘Topher ( new worship leader) & I spent some time together just sharing our story w/ one another & what God is currently doing in our life – I think that translated to what occurred in the worship service. Due to the topic, homosexuality, I spent more time in preparation & prayer.

I did speak for a looong time in both services. Parents, if your sr. high student tells you that we didn’t get out until 8:50 or so – believe them. It was just a big topic that we never cover & there is lots to say about it.

Tonight, may have been the most attentive that the jr. high crowd has ever been.  Its amazing how well the word “homosexuality” gets their attention.
